Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Nintendo Switch - Spring 2020 update

Animal Crossing: New Horizons celebrates nature and art with a free update this month. But there’s even more events coming to the Nintendo Switch game.

This morning, Tom Nook, over at the Animal Crossing twitter account, dropped a bombshell for Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans. A huge update is planned for April 23. Let’s just get directly into it. When you’re done reading what’s new, feel free to hit up our Animal Crossing: New Horizons index for more information on what else you can do in the game!

Leif’s Garden Shop

Tom Nook announced two new merchants will be coming with the update. One of them is the Bob Ross-inspired sloth named Leif.

Leif’s Garden Shop brings with it more flowers, more saplings and, as many users were hoping would show up, bushes. I know, it’s a weird thing to get hyped about in a video game but bushes allow for an alternative to fencing. You can produce hybrids and when the wind blows they sway a bit which is nicer looking than the static fencing, as cool as some of them are. Especially with the game really pushing towards users to set up fencing if they want to achieve five stars.

Leif is a great addition to the game as his Bob Ross inspired pleasantries are always welcome and I miss someone describing all my trees as happy. On the other end of the spectrum is the second merchant.
