The “Create” button

The “Share” button on the PS4’s Dualshock is being replaced with a “Create” button on the PS5’s DualSense. They hinted that they’re adding to the features the Share button had with many new ways for players to share their experiences.

Right now, it’s just soup filled with buzz words but it definitely hints that Sony’s looking to add a series of editing software and tools to the PS5 to allow people to edit their clips better and, perhaps, for streamers. Admittedly the way Sony had it set up now on the PS4 was a hot mess.

To be able to see the chat you had to shrink the play area way down unless you wanted to fuss with a capture card. Being able to create overlays and a functional chat feature could be a game-changer for the world of streaming on consoles.

The PS4’s Sharefactory program already allowed people to edit their videos really well, but having an all in one feature with better functionality does get me excited as putting a little bit of effort into a clip makes it a lot more fun for other people to watch and a lot less obnoxious to see on your timeline.
