At the New York Toy Fair, Funko announced the upcoming release of four additional Pokemon POPs, adding to this year’s already impressive release total.

Once again, Funko has released another set of Pops that are Pokemon themed for the summer. Prior to the Toy Fair New York 2020, Funko revealed plans to release Pop! figures of Vulpix, Pichu, Mr. Mime, and Mewtwo. During the annual New York Toy Fair, Funko also revealed that four more Pops will be released alongside the others that were leaked at the beginning of the month. This is the most franchise Pops to be released in a single time frame for Pop! collectors to finally ‘catch ’em all!’

Funko has leaked new figurines for Rattata, Growlithe, Cubone, and new Pikachu Pop!. Rattata, the common mouse Pokemon from the Kanto region will make its way to becoming the first common Pop!.

It makes a great deal of sense that there is a Growlithe figurine to accompany the Vulpix POP that will be released in May. Both Pokemon are version exclusives, respectively for the original Pokemon games; Growlithe in Pokemon Red Version and Vulpix in Pokemon Blue Version. Meanwhile, Cubone is a fan favorite with the backstory the character shares in the lore of the franchise as everyone remembers the ghost of Cubone’s mother encounter while climbing the haunted Lavender Tower.

The determined Pikachu figurine looks like the video game mascot is about to perform a signature Electric-type attach. The new Pikachu Pop! is memorable because it looks close enough to the video game artwork of Pokemon Yellow Version. This is also the third Pikachu Pop! that has been released since the reveal of the first brand Pop!. With the importance of what Pikachu symbolizes in the franchise, it is safe to assume that it will not be the last time the mascot will have a new Pop! figurine.
