Bayonetta 3 – Release Date: TBD (To Be Determined)

PlatinumGames has made a great reputation for itself by consistently putting out incredible action games, both with original and licensed properties. The original Bayonetta was a multi-platform game that was well-received for the Xbox 360 version (the PS3 port was a glitch-filled mess).

However, Nintendo smartly scooped up the development rights to the sequel, resulting in the masterpiece Bayonetta 2, perhaps one of the best games in the Wii U library. Nintendo ported Bayonetta 2 over to the Switch, along a digital version of the original Bayonetta (interestingly, this means that players will be able to eventually experience all three games on one system).

Aside from a short teaser trailer a couple of years ago, there has largely been no information about the status of Bayonetta 3. Considering that Nintendo often doesn’t like to show off or promote games until development is nearly finished, it’s likely that any new updates for Bayonetta 3 will appear once the game is nearly ready to publish.

PlatinumGames has also released other new properties, including the incredible Switch exclusive Astral Chain, which likely tied up company resources and assets. It’s possible that Nintendo will update fans this year with either an upcoming Direct or at E3 2020.
