#1. More Merrin

For all that it does right, one of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s biggest flaws is that its main protagonist, Cal Kestis, is a bit bland. But he’s uplifted with a very strong supporting cast, the best of which is easily sort of foe-eventually-turned-trusted ally, Nightsister Merrin.

There’s just one problem with Merrin being the best character in the game; she’s barely in it. She doesn’t even get twenty minutes of screen time in a game that’s around 15-20 hours long.

A big part of this is how late she really becomes a factor in the game. You can meet her very early on if you choose to go to the planet Dathomir as soon as possible, but she doesn’t really figure into the main plot until you can actually finish Dathomir which isn’t until quite close to the end of the game, so you really only get a little time to know her.

Merrin feels instantly like she should have been a part of your crew much earlier. Luckily, in a sequel, since her character has already been established and is part of your ship crew at the start now, there’s plenty of opportunities to do that.

If you really want to take advantage of it, make her a playable character. Merrin is a character with abilities you have never seen in a Star Wars game before, and they work differently than those of a Jedi or a Sith or virtually any other character. It could potentially be really fun to play around with those, so I hope we get a lot more of Merrin in a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

There are five things we hope to see in a sequel for Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. The game is a success both critically and commercially, so a sequel is almost a sure thing; but, I would hope Electronic Arts and Respawn really take their time because things people went easy on in the first game will be judged much harsher in the follow-up if they are not improved upon. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is currently available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
