#3. Loot that is more than just cosmetics

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a game filled with loot, but only a tiny percentage of that loot is at all useful. Once in a blue moon, you might find something that gives you a life boost or the ability to use an extra stim pack, but an annoying majority of the time you find ponchos that look terrible, lightsaber parts that don’t do anything for your lightsaber or paint jobs for your ship or droid.

This is something I absolutely think needs to be revamped in a sequel. Either get an equal amount of things that are pure cosmetics and actually useful equipment, or less loot but make it more meaningful. There’s not much reason you couldn’t have ponchos or other outfits Cal can wear) that provides a boost to defense or offense or makes you regain Force quicker or something.

Different parts for your lightsaber could also have similar effects as well as giving you different ways to fight. I honestly think this was an aspect that was forgivable this time because it had been so long since we had a good single-player Star Wars game we just went with it. You do this again in the sequel and people will be much harsher on it.

Bottom line, if you are going to have Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order continue to be a series where loot is a big component (and no reason it shouldn’t be), make that loot actually matter . Otherwise, very few people will bother taking time to look for it.
