Lamar Jackson became the fastest quarterback in Madden history earlier this season, but who else joins him atop the speed rating rankings in Madden 20?

Quarterbacks like Michael Vick, Cam Newton, Russell Wilson and Lamar Jackson have transformed how the position is played in the NFL. A dual-threat quarterback can cause all sorts of fits for a defense and in Madden 20, we can finally run a proper run-pass option (RPO). But in order to do so effectively, you need a quarterback with good speed.

Earlier this season, Lamar Jackson officially became the fastest quarterback in Madden history. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback broke the single-season quarterback rushing record earlier this year, surpassing Michael Vick’s previous mark of 1,039 yards set in 2006. Through 15 games this year, Jackson has already rushed for 1,206 yards.

While Jackson is clearly the go-to quarterback to build a team around in Madden 20, he’s certainly not the only quarterback with speed in the game. Below is a list of the 10 fastest quarterbacks in Madden 20.

It’s important to note that Madden’s rosters are fluid and EA updates them on a weekly basis. A player’s ratings are adjusted according to their performance in real life. This list has been compiled as of December 25 (Week 17):

  1. Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens) – 96 Speed / 92 Overall
  2. Kyler Murray (Arizona Cardinals) – 91 Speed / 75 Overall
  3. Taysom Hill (New Orleans Saints) – 90 Speed / 62 Overall
  4. Marcus Mariota (Tennessee Titans) – 88 Speed / 70 Overall
  5. Tyrod Taylor (Los Angeles Rams) – 88 Speed / 70 Overall
  6. Joe Webb III (Houston Texans) – 87 Speed / 53 Overall
  7. Trace Mcsorley (Baltimore Ravens) – 87 Speed / 55 Overall
  8. Russell Wilson (Seattle Seahawks) – 86 Speed / 97 Overall
  9. Jeff Driskel (Detroit Lions) – 85 Speed / 61 Overall
  10. Robert Griffin III (Baltimore Ravens) – 85 Speed / 66 Overall

More from Madden NFL

It’s actually a pretty surprising list, with quite a few players who are probably unknown by most casual fans. Some of the league’s biggest stars, like Cam Newton, Josh Allen, Daniel Jones, Mitchel Trubisky and DeShaun Watson — who are solid scramblers — may not crack the top 10, but they are still fast with some solid overall ratings. Because of that, I’ve decided to list some of the bigger named NFL starters as well

  • Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers) – 85 Speed / 80 Overall
  • Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills) -84 Speed / 77 Overall
  • Daniel Jones (New York Giants) – 84 Speed / 69 Overall
  • Mitchell Trubisky (Chicago Bears) – 84 Speed / 74 Overall
  • DeShaun Watson (Houston Texans) – 84 Speed / 86 Overall
  • Dak Prescott (Dallas Cowboys) – 83 Speed / 81 Overall
  • Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs) – 81 Speed / 99 Overall
