GTA Online: How to start the Diamond Casino Heist

The Diamond Casino Heist is now available in GTA Online, but before you begin, there’s something you must do first: purchase a Retro Arcade.

It’s officially go time. The Diamond Casino Heist is now available in GTA Online and it’s time to pull off the most sophisticated and daring robbery ever. But before you can break into the Diamond Casino & Resorts highly secure vault and steal everything the Duggans have, there are some prerequisites you must meet first.

Before you can begin the heist, you must first set up a base of operations. In this case, you must buy a Retro Arcade property to serve as a front business while you draw up the plans for the most daring caper that Los Santos has ever seen.

There are a total of six arcades available for purchase, but one of them is free for Twitch Prime subscribers. If you’re a Twitch Prime member, you can claim Pixel Pete’s Arcade for free from Maze Bank Foreclosures. Otherwise, head to Lester at Mirror Park to see the cutscene first and then go to Maze Bank Foreclosures.

  • Insert Coin – Rockford Hills – $2,345,000

Once you purchase your arcade, you can go inside and you’ll see a cutscene. Once you watch that, your base of operations will unlock.

Inside your hideout, you will find three planning boards, a place to store stolen vehicles and heist prep equipment. This is also the place to start your prep missions as well as stage heist rehearsals, honing the skills you’ll need to successfully pull off the heist.

"Gathering intel and preparing comprehensive reconnaissance with your crew will be crucial. As you take on preparatory missions you’ll have the option to go the extra mile by documenting various entry points, destroying supply shipments and gathering intel on security systems from an old associate and former Casino employee, all of which will reward you with more routes, approaches and options like getaway decoys when it comes to the big show."

There are three support team members – a driver, gunman and hacker – that you can recruit to aid you with the heist. There are also three distinct approaches you can take with the Diamond Casino Heist: Silent and Sneaky, The Big Con, or Aggressive. Each offers unique and different choices for how to complete every step of the heist.

While the purpose of the arcade is to serve as a base of operations, there’s no reason you can’t earn a little side money from it. Using the laptop, you are able to upgrade each arcade and purchase different games to generate additional revenue.

  • Master Control Terminal – $1,740,000
  • Drone Station – $1,460,000

The Master Control Terminal allows you to launch missions for all of your businesses directly from the arcade, while the Drone Station lets you fly drones over the city. You are also able to access the Nano Drone in Freemode.
