Warframe guide: How to farm for and build Vauban Prime

Vauban Prime has been released from the Prime Vault in Warframe. Follow this guide to farm for his relics in the Void.

Arriving alongside Ash Prime in Warframe last week was Vauban Prime, the stronger variant of the standard Vauban warframe. Vauban Prime boasts higher shields and armor than the standard warframe and possesses a special ability where contact with an Orokin Void Death Orb releases an energy pulse that grants energy to allies.

Like Ash, Vauban can either be purchased as part of the Double Pack from the Prime Vault for $59.99. Or you can choose to farm for it in-game and grind for relics.

Vauban Prime used to be the only Prime Warframe in which the relics dropped were all rare, making it one of the hardest to farm for. That has since changed, with the Chassis being a common drop and the blueprint being uncommon, but the Neuroptics and Systems are both still rare drops.

If you do plan on farming for Vauban Prime, it will probably take a little longer than Ash Prime. However, there is some overlap between the two when it comes to some of the components.

Vauban Prime Relics

Vauban Prime Blueprint – Meso V6 (uncommon)

Vauban Prime Neuroptics – Lith V7 (rare)

Vauban Prime Chassis – Neo A4 (common) 

Vauban Prime Systems – Lith V8 (rare)

Farming activities for Vauban Prime are similar to Ash Prime. Missions in the Void have a chance to drop all four of the relics.

There is some overlap between both Prime warframes, as the Lith V7 can also drop the Ash Prime blueprint. The Lith V8 drops the Ash Prime Chassis. The Neo A4 drops the Ash Prime Neuroptics.

In addition to Void Missions, you can also bounties in the Plains of Eidolon for Konzu (in Cetus) or Fortuna for Eudico.

Once you acquire all the required relics for each blueprint you can begin manufacturing them. Here are the build costs for each:

Neuroptics

• 15,000 credits
• 5 Nitain Extract
• 16,000 Salvage
• 8,000 Rubedo
• 18,000 Alloy Plate

Chassis

• 15,000 credits
• 2 Argon Crystal
• 5 Nitain Extract
• 7,000 Oxium
• 13,000 Alloy Plate

Systems

• 15,000 credits
• 5 Nitain Extract
• 9,000 Cryotic
• 1 Orokin Cell
• 5,000 Circuits

Manufacturing the full Vauban Prime costs an additional 25,000 credits and 5 Nitain Extract. It also requires 72 hours build time, or you can rush it for 50 Platinum.

Like all other Prime warframes, Vauban and Ash will only be available for a limited time before being sent back into the Vault.
