MLB The Show 19: 10th inning content and new bosses arrive

MLB The Show 19 is heading into extras with 10th inning content featuring three new Signature Series Bosses: Mike Trout, Albert Pujols and Mike Schmidt.

The Major League Baseball season may be over and MLB The Show 20 has already been announced, but Sony San Diego isn’t quite ready to move on from MLB The Show 19 just yet.

The 10th Inning content has officially gone live, introducing three new Signature Series Bosses: Mike Trout, Albert Pujols and Mike Schmidt. All three players are rated a perfect 99 overall, and each of them rightfully deserves it.

First baseman slugger Albert Pujols was one of the best hitters in the game and his stats reflect it with over 100-plus ratings in contact, power, vision and clutch. His fielding is pretty average, but Pujols was always known for his hitting anyway.

Up next is center fielder Mike Trout, who is arguably the best player in the game today. He may not get the attention that Bryce Harper does, but he definitely puts up stats worthy of the spotlight (and contract).

His Signature Series card features 100-plus ratings in every hitting category except for Vision, which is only an 86. Some could argue that’s a little low, but Trout is known to strike out from time to time.

The third 10th Inning boss is none other than Mike Schmidt. Considered by many to be the greatest third baseman of all-time, Schmidt boasted a combination of home-run hitting power and stellar defense. That’s reflected in his 90-plus fielding ratings and 100-plus hitting power. His 125 plate discipline is due to the fact that he annually drew 100-plus walks.

All three players are among the best baseball has ever seen. Good luck choosing which to purchase with the 300 Program Stars.
