Discolored

I absolutely love atmospheric puzzle games and that’s exactly what Discolored it. The game drops you into a strange and surreal world in which all of the color has been sucked away, and it’s up to you to restore it.

It actually reminds me very much of The Witness in the sense that you don’t really know why anything in this world as happened, but uncover deeper secrets as you progress through the game.

Guildlings

I’m assuming by now you’ve played the game Threes! on your phone. Well, Guildlings is a brand new game from that developer, Sirvo. But make no mistake, it is not at all similar.

Whereas Threes! was an addicting puzzle game, Guldlings is a story-driven episodic adventure. Inspired by “classic RPGs, visual novel games and point-and-click puzzlers,” Guildlings is a “coming-of-age fantasy tale” with gorgeous hand-crafted, low-poly environments.

The game features a conversation-and-choice system in which other characters will react to your decisions. The simplistic touch-friendly controls serve wonderfully as you explore and fight your way through dark tunnels and mystical mountain temples.

Open-world adventures and RPGs are some of my favorite games to play on Apple Arcade, and Guildlings is a wonderful new addition to the family.

These are just the newest additions to Apple Arcade, but I suggest you check out the service for a look at everything the library has to offer.
