6.  Assassins Creed Odyssey – Medusa

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey leans into Greek mythology by incorporating many creatures and tales. I won’t spoil how these otherworldly tales are crafted, but it fits into the Assassin’s Creed lore well. Later on in the game, players will need to face a number of these creatures, but none of them are more petrifying(see what I did there) than Medusa. You are stuck in a pit with Meduse with a few pillars to protect you from her stone stair.

After dealing enough damage to her in phases, she sends her stone minions after you. Medusa’s model is built well with glowing yellow eyes, blackened skin, and the iconic snake hair is an unwanted sight. She is one of the most interesting bosses to fight in the game because of the various abilities she has. Plus the story revolving around her makes the battle worth her presence.

7. State of Decay – Juggernauts

If anyone were to ever come face to face with a zombie they would downright scream. The thought of walking dead is chilling to the bone. That doesn’t take into consideration the fact that they want to eat you alive. The game series State of Decay is full of zombie types but none are more brutal than the Juggernaut. This bulbous monstrosity can rip players in half. It will feast on your innards and move on soon after.

Juggernauts soak up a lot of damage. Their massive builds allow them to take a large amount of damage while still dealing damage to you. Be careful however, the creature will surely kill you if your health is too low. A lack of medicine will ensure a swift death from the bloating brute.
