NLDS: St. Louis Cardinals vs. Atlanta Braves

And we begin our MLB The Show 19 simulation with that exact series that we just got done talking about. Unfortunately, there was nothing really epic for this NLDS matchup, as the Cardinals teed up on the Braves, sweeping them three games to none.

One of the games was fairly close, but other than that, it was all Cards, with Paul Goldschmidt (shocker) and Dexter Fowler dominating the series. Each player had at least one hit in each of the three games, with home runs by both in the clinching game.

We know what Goldschmidt is capable of, as, like his counterpart, Freddie Freeman, he can hit for power and especially for contact with the best of them. And if anyone followed the Cubs World Series run in 2016, then you know how instrumental Fowler was in helping Chicago break the 108-year curse.

Awkwardly, the pitching was average to bad on both sides. However, thanks to many runs scored by the Cardinals throughout, they didn’t need to worry about the mound and they move on to the NLCS.
