The NLDS and ALDS is upon us and we once again use MLB The Show 19 to help us decide who moves on.

Both Wildcard games are history, as MLB The Show 19 correctly predicted as to which teams will win. The Nationals ruined the Brewers in our simulation by a score of 7-0 while the real game was a thriller, where Juan Soto drove in the winning run.

The AL side was more of the opposite, with the MLB The Show simulation being close, while the real game ended up being a 5-1 beatdown of the A’s, courtesy of the Rays. The real game featured four home runs from the Rays in their victory, as they move on to battle the Houston Astros.

So, with both divisional rounds set, we went ahead and did another simulation to see how things went. There might be some surprises in there as well as some non-surprises.

It’s should be some must-watch/listen to baseball, no matter who ends up in the ALCS and NLCS. Every team is loaded with talent, whether they have superstar power or rich depth on their roster, there should be plenty of big moments.

Although all of the matchups are interesting, one I’m particularly looking forward to is the series between the Cardinals and the Braves. St. Louis made some deals over the last few years, signing Dexter Fowler and Andrew Miller followed by their biggest splash, getting Paul Goldschmidt.

Meanwhile, the Braves have two of the best young stars in baseball in Ronald Acuna Jr. and Ozzie Albies. On top of that, they also still have the dangerous Freddie Freeman as well, who can blend power and contact with his bat.

This should make for a heck of a battle in the real world NLDS. But let’s ask the MLB The Show 19 machine, and see what it has in store for us, shall we (note: series simulations are done in order to reflect the real schedule)?
