3. The Enchanted World

Developer: AI Interactive

The story behind the developers of The Enchanted World is as inspiring as any you’ll hear, and the game itself is absolutely beautiful. The aesthetic is reminiscent of the GO  (e.g. Hitman, Lara Kroft, Deus Ex) series by Square Enix, and the puzzles are equally as engaging, casting spells to move the landscape around you by moving each tile into the correct place. As a proud Not Very Smart Person, I did find certain sections to be frustrating to complete, but even then I eventually succeeded thanks to my perseverance and the soothing music of the game keeping me in line. Seriously, it’s like the kind of music I’d hear on a lo-fi playlist, and I love everything about it.

4. WHAT THE GOLF?

Where do I even begin with this game? WHAT THE GOLF? is, as its description so eloquently explains, for those that don’t exactly fancy the leisurely sport of golf. While the game does have the most simple rules of golf on display, each hole is essentially a different variation on it. One hole will involve a simple putt like the game we all know and love/don’t love, and the next will be you controlling a little golf ball creature across a 2D level exactly like one from Super Mario. While all the attention for funny games lately has been on Untitled Goose Game, there needs to be some respect put on WHAT THE GOLF?‘s name.
