Destiny 2

Destiny is an online multiplayer FPS game developed by Bungie. The game is set in a mythic science fiction world with players assuming the role of Guardians, protectors of Earth’s last safe city wielding the power of Light. Guardians protect the city from different alien races among which is the Cabal whose leader, Dominus Ghaul, our main antagonist. He has stripped Guardians of their powers and now players start their adventure to regain their power and defeat the Cabals.

The activities are divided among player versus environment(PvE) and player versus player(PvP) types. PvE offers main storyline missions which can either be done alone with AI or co-op with another player. The game also offers free roam patrol modes for each planet available where players can carry out public events. In PvP, players are pitted against each other to test their skills also referred as Player Killing (PK).

And yes, the rewards for all of these activities are unique weapons and armor. The gear and weapons aren’t as varied as Borderlands, but it should help satisfy that looter-shooter mentality.

The game offers three classes of characters (Warlock, Hunter and Titan) , each with their own perks and abilities. In addition there are three sub-classes, offering even more RPG elements and customization.

Destiny 2 has been available for a while now and is set to receive a massive new expansion, Shadowkeep, which will take Guardians back to the moon. This is just one of the ways Bungie’s “game as a service” delivers new content to keep things feeling fresh. In addition, Destiny 2 is supported by regularly occurring in-game events.
