Most anticipated PS4 and Xbox One games for September 2019
Borderlands 3 – PS4, Xbox One – September 13
Guns, guns and more guns. That’s what the Borderlands franchise is known for and Gearbox isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel here.
By now we already know what we’re getting with Borderlands 3: pure fun and pandemonium. Interesting characters, a bazillion unique weapons and explosive action; the core loop of Borderlands 3 is pretty in line with previous games in the looter-shooter franchise.
While gameplay remains familiar, players are introduced to four new playable new characters: Amara, Moze, Zane, and FL4K. Each of these characters offers their own unique abilities and skills, which makes for some fun variance in gameplay. But at it’s core, Borderlands 3 is all about shooting bad guys and finding the craziest guns you can.
In addition to the main campaign, Borderlands 3 will offer additional challenges, like the wave-based “Circles of Slaughter” found on various planets. There’s also the “Proving Grounds,” which is a type of raid tha tmust be completed within a certain time to earn the associated rewards.
Despite being a sequel to 2012’s Borderlands 2 and the fourth main entry in the franchise, Borderlands 3 is said to be accessible by all. So don’t worry if you’ve never played a Borderlands game before in your life. I guarantee you’ll be able to pick up a controller and have a blast with it right off the bat.
Borderlands 3 is designed as a co-op shooter, so you’ll probably have the most fun playing with a group of friends.
