6. 2002-03 Suns
Most of the teams have depth, but the Suns’ depth is unique in that they feature a defense and rebounding-first type of mentality. They have this while also carrying enough scoring from Stephon Marbury, Shawn Marion, and Amare Stoudemire. This is a team that may allow you to not only lock teams down on defense, but you be able to dunk on some heads on the other end in NBA 2K20.
5. 2006-07 Wizards
The outside shot, the mid-range shot and the dunk will all be on display with this Wizards team. Antawn Jamison, who led the team in scoring during the playoffs that year, will be a major threat by himself. He can shoot from anywhere, and stretch bigs are always a nightmare to deal with. Throw in a balanced player like Gilbert Arenas, and a slasher like Caron Butler and you have a fast-paced team on your hands.
4. 2009-10 Trail Blazers
The Blazers are in the middle of a new chapter with Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum leading the battle charge, but let’s not forget the greats of Blazers past. Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge were once quite a duo and undoubtedly will be dangerous in NBA 2K20. The scary thing is; both players can score from essentially anywhere and Roy is as clutch as they come. Not to mention, Andre Miller is the orchestrator with the ball. Good luck dealing with this offense.
3. 2015-16 Cavilers
2016 was the year of broken curses. First, the Cavs winning Cleveland’s first sports title in 52-years while the Chicago Cubs won their first World Series title in 108-years (ironically, against Cleveland). LeBron James and Kyrie Irving led a fairly deep team that also included Kevin Love and the streaky J.R. Smith. Having James alone makes the team tough in NBA 2K20. Throw in an elite slasher like Irving and the dangerous outside shooting of Love and Smith and you have a squad.
2. 2013-14 Clippers
It doesn’t take much to look at this roster and realize that they’ll be a beast of a team in NBA 2K20. That plenty of guys who can shoot threes and you have Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan who can lob alley-oops to for days. Combine the playmaking of Chris Paul, the deadeye shooting of J.J. Reddick and Jamal’s Crawford’s legendary ball-handling and you have a pretty darn good offense to work with. The depth is extremely strong here.
1. 2013-14 Spurs
I don’t think this comes as a surprise. The Spurs have always been one of the most fundamentally sounded teams in the NBA and in 2013, it wasn’t any different. You had your usual trio of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili, but you had some other young additions as well. Kawhi Leonard was going into his third season and was slowly starting to blossom, averaging 14 points and 1.7 steals in the playoffs. All four players displayed some quality defense, but only do they shut you down, they had a few terrific shooters as well. Enter Danny Green, Patty Mills, and Marco Bellinelli and your bench shooting problems are solved. On top of that, Parker and Ginobili can light it up as well. Yeah, this team will be powerful in NBA 2K20.
