R.J. Barrett – New York Knicks

The former Duke star from Canada is another score-first type of player who will excel at multiple things in NBA 2K20. Dropping an impressive 22 points per game with the Blue Devils alongside Williamson, Barrett is a classic, shot-creating kind of forward.

He won’t have the range to start, but in the NBA, that can change quickly. From the jump though, gamers who use the Knicks will enjoy a guy who can score in a variety of ways.

I still feel that his three-point shooting will be dangerous enough, making for a very balanced offensive attack. You’ll see a blend of solid shooting and driving abilities whether it’s going for layups or dunks.

He’ll also have some very solid speed for his size. Speed kills as we know, and this can lead to some strong finishes at the rim.

I can certainly see Relentless Finisher being one of his badges in NBA 2K20. Overall, you can see a plethora of offensive based badges including Mid-Range Deadeye and Corner Specialist for those three-point buckets.

Similar to Morant, defense may not be a strength but there will likely be so much balance in his offensive game, that it will be easy to forget about defense. If you enjoy shooting in numerous different ways, then you’ll probably love Barrett.

Essentially, there’s no real weakness when he has the ball in his hands. His ability to score both on the inside and on the perimeter will make him a threat in the game, even when his three-point shot isn’t fully developed. Wait until he learns the NBA game, then there’s a possibility that his outside shooting can become flat-out scary.
