Zion Williamson – New Orleans Pelicans

A generational talent, Zion Williamson is expected that have an earthquake impact on the New Orleans Pelicans in NBA 2K20. The entire team will be fun to use, especially having a player like Lonzo Ball lobbing up alley-oops to the 6’7″ star.

There’s no doubt that his speed and dunking ratings will be quite high right out of the gate. This will make him a tasty, slashing kind of player.

He’s also a guy who can shoot well off the dribble and create his own shot. So although mid-range shooting is an art that is fading, Williamson will make it cool again, especially with some slick moving shots.

His three-point shot may be average to start, but that can quickly change over time. In the meantime, I expect his outside shooting to be somewhere between 70 and 75 (which is not bad).

But, the main excitement for former Duke star is the speed that he posses for being a bigger player, as well as his dunking ability and acrobatics. On the defensive end, I feel like he will also be a monster.

He had a ton of steals and blocks in college, and that defensive skill should carry over into the NBA. Add in his defensive rebounding skills and you have you an immensely well-rounded defensive player.

Expect the uber-athletic forward to receive a boatload of badges, at least for a rookie. Relentless Finisher is a badge that I can see being his best one right away.

After that, throw in the Posterizer, Acrobat, Mid-Range Deadeye, Pick Pocket and Alpha Dog (especially with Anthony Davis gone) among others. The kid is going to have plenty of badges right from the jump and I’m expecting somewhere between seven and 10 of them.

Seven to 10 doesn’t sound like much, but in reality, it is. That’s a ton for a player who hasn’t even played an NBA game yet.

So, balance everything that the phenom offers, and Pelicans fans will be having a great time using them in NBA 2K20. Going from Davis to Williamson, Ball, and others? Not bad.
