De’Andre Hunter – Atlanta Hawks

Hunter will be one of the most versatile offensive rookies in NBA 2K20. He can shoot threes, is a terrific mid-range shooter, and can take it to the rack.

Another player who can create his own shot, 2K players can enjoy shooting off the dribble with the former star of the National Champion Virginia Cavaliers. And although his mid-range game is his biggest strength, his three-point rating could receive a handsome number in the upper 70s, which is very solid for a rookie.

Expect the mid-range rating to be in the mid to high 80s because he’s that good at knocking down the shots. He’s also quite athletic, which will bid well for those of you who enjoy driving down the lane and thrashing the rim without mercy or hitting a buttery layup.

With such a potentially high rated mid-range game, you can expect to get plenty of Green Releases on the 17 or 18 footers. And there aren’t many things more satisfying in NBA 2K than getting an Excellent Release on a shot.

His height, at 6’7″, also gives the chance to alternate between playing forward and guard. The swapping of positions at certain points could help him get in certain spots to knock down shots.

My forward in MyCAREER tends to switch between playing power forward and small forward (although it wasn’t my intent). By playing at the power spot, I can have an opportunity to go to the hoop for post-up scoring, or I can run to the corner and pop threes.

While playing at the small, I have can be versatile with how I want to score. I can go inside or out without having to think about possibly grabbing an offensive rebound.

This is the case with Hunter. His balance adds to the fun factor for him, especially when you combine it with his amazing ability to score.

With him being the fourth overall pick, a rating in the upper 70s is inevitable. Dealing with rising stars, Trae Young and John Collins is already a handful on the Hawks. Adding Hunter and Cam Reddish fills that roster up with a fun, versatile squad.
