New Pokemon from Pokemon Sword and Shield ranked
Pokemon Sword and Shield released quite a few new Pokemon today, and we are ranking them from worst to best based on appearance.
Pokemon has revealed seven new Pokemon today from Pokemon Sword and Shield, along with the original three starters that we saw earlier in the year. While all of these Pokemon look intriguing, some of them look cuter and cooler than the others. Here is how we are ranking them so far!
10. Wooloo
This Pokemon is literally just a sheep. It is very cute, to be sure, but that only goes so far. Wooloo is simply another normal-type Pokemon to add to the list. Unless it has some crazy evolution, I do not see this Pokemon being much more popular than Furfrou or Stoutland from previous generations.
9. Drednaw
Drednaw is a water/rock-type tortoise that has an odd looking horn coming out of its head. While we love turtles, Drednaw just is not quite as cool or as cute as the other Pokemon that we have seen so far from Galar. Perhaps it will get a cool or powerful evolution.
8. Eldegoss
This Pokemon resembles a cotton spore with a face under it. It is a grass-type that evolves from Gossifleur. Its access to the Regenerator ability means that it will likely be a tank. This Pokemon is sort of cute, but the giant cotton ball on its head gives it a bit of an awkward look.

7. Gossifleur
This is (in our opinion) the cuter of the two grass-type Pokemon revealed. This Pokemon evolves into Eldegoss.
6. Corviknight
This flying/steel-type bird is likely going to be the obligatory flying Pokemon found early in the game. The steel typing gives it some distinct advantages over the average bird Pokemon, which has generally been flying/normal-type. The only other bird Pokemon with a typing other than normal was Talonflame from generation six, but even Fletchling started as flying/normal-type. This Pokemon is bound to have a cool and powerful evolution.

5. Grookey
The grass-type starter has an opportunity to become a very cool Pokemon, but it’s just a cute little monkey at the moment. It is entirely likely that it will evolve into a gorilla or an ape, or even an orangutan. Grookey is a cute Pokemon to be sure, and it will be exciting to see its evolutions.
4. Scorbunny
Scorbunny is very cute, as most bunnies are. This fire-type starter could become any number of different types when it evolves, and it will likely be a great pick. Scorbunny is slightly cuter than Grookey, but not quite as cute as the water-type starter. This may all change upon evolution though!
3. Sobble
Sobble is a cute little crybaby. Its tears even have the power to impact others! This Pokemon seems like a weak little thing, but it is bound to evolve into something powerful. Water-type starters have been quite good in the last couple generations, and it shouldn’t surprise anyone if this trend continues.

2. Zacian
While the Dark Souls reference is cool here, Zacian is still simply just holding a sword in its mouth. This appearance seems slightly less intimidating and cool as its counterpart, who’s shield is a part of its mane. That being said, Zacian is still a sleek and cool looking Pokemon, and it will be interesting to learn more about it.
1. Zamazenta
Zamazenta is not at all what we expected from the “Shield” legendary, but that doesn’t mean that its not awesome. This Pokemon has a regal look to it due to its massive mane and shield. Zamazenta will probably be part steel-type, and more defensive than Zacian. It would make sense if Zacian was offensive and Zamazenta was defensive.
