E3 2019: Bethesda predictions, rumors and expectations
What we will see: Elder Scrolls online stuff
Elder Scrolls Online has quietly become a really successful MMO. Despite its success, it’s probably a niche game, but Bethesda loves to talk about it every E3. 2019 will be no exception, I’m sure. Especially in lieu of any other announcements regarding the next major entry in the Elder Scrolls series, which I don’t think we’ll see this year (more on that later).
Just days before Bethesda’s E3 2019 presentation (on June 4), a new expansion for Elder Scrolls Online, Elsweyr will have come out of early access on PC and Mac and will release for the PS4 and Xbox One versions as well. Bethesda will surely take some time promoting this and reminding people that Elder Scrolls Online is a thing that exists if you are looking for an Elder Scrolls fix while waiting for the official sixth entry in the franchise.
Seeing as how we’re still likely a ways away from a new Elder Scrolls game (only just teased last year), showing Elder Scrolls Online might be a good way to remind people of a place to get their fix of fantasy adventure.
Odds are they will also at least tease some future expansion for Elder Scrolls Online as they probably want to give players something to look forward to, as well as promoting an expansion that just recently released for the game. This probably won’t excite anyone who isn’t already playing the game, but hey, those people deserve a little time to get something to be excited about too.
