MLB The Show 19’s Road to the Show continues to improve, but if you choose a pitcher, then which pitches should you choose to strike fear into the hearts of batters?

MLB The Show 19 is out and in full swing, with Road to the Show receiving some new additions to help improve the longtime career mode. However, if you select a pitcher in your RTTS journey, which pitches should put in your arsenal on the mound?

As the game continues to evolve, hitting, pitching and fielding are becoming more realistic. This also means that pitches are moving more realistically as well.

We take a look at five pitches that can help you get those strikeouts or much-needed ground outs. But the choice is always up to you, and there are a ton of great options to choose from, and you can always head into Custom Practice and experiment with different pitches.

Remember, when going into the Topps Showcase as a pitcher, you don’t need to strike out every guy out there. Just try to get outs, whether their fly or ground (preferred) outs and there are certain pitches that you can use effectively to your advantage.

I think it’s also essential to make sure you have a mixture of speeds when it comes to your pitch choices. Not many things fool hitters as well as the changing of pitch speeds during an at-bat.
