What we’re sure we’ll see – The year of Respawn

By far the biggest presence of the day will be from Respawn Entertainment with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order taking center-stage this year.

After its initial reveal at Star Wars Celebration, things have been mum on the Fallen Order front. With a November 15 release date on the horizon, a gameplay world premiere at EA Play seems inevitable. It could possibly contain a full-on look at the HUD, an early mission in the game and details about character progression in the single-player title.

Granted, things didn’t go too well for the Star Wars game to headline EA Play, but Respawn have been saying a lot of the right things lately regarding Fallen Order, so the jury is still out.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is not all we should expect from the developer this year. News on Apex Legends is also on tap. The speculation here is a little more wide open though, as it could be an update on the general status of the game, a new character or patch announcement or even news on the esports front. One thing Respawn has confirmed is information regarding the Season 2 Battle Pass.

Even with recent news of the game’s revenue and popularity already dwindling, something big to pull folks back in could be bound for EA Play.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will kick off the EA Play stream at 9:30 a.m. PT on Saturday, June 8. Apex Legends will follow at 10:00 a.m. PT.
