Seoul Dynasty

Seed: 7th (4-3 record)

Quarterfinal Opponent: New York Excelsior (2nd seed)

Match Time: Thursday, March 21 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET

The Seoul Dynasty entered 2019 coming off a disappointing first season. They were expected to be one of, if not the major player in the Overwatch League and ended up missing the season playoffs by two games amidst personnel trouble. Did the Dynasty turn over a new leaf in 2019? Well…not really.

The Dynasty are once again a bubble team, barely squeaking into the stage playoffs and the odd man out of the season playoffs at this juncture. Despite having a star DPS in Byung-sun “Fleta” Kim as well as main tank ChanHyoeng”Fissure” Baek and support Jehong “ryujehong” Ryu, the Dynasty have yet to pull it together. Many of those players are vets from season one and they have yet to gel with the new blood on the team. It’s early in the season still, so the Dynasty have time to get it together as a team and take a season playoff spot for themselves.

The Dynasty are 0-2 against stage playoff teams, losing to both the Boston Uprising and the New York Excelsior in Week 3.
