MLB The Show 19: Predicting the top players at each position
Third Baseman: Nolan Arenado
Team – Colorado Rockies
Nolan Arenado is not only the best third baseman in baseball, but he’s best by a fair margin. He led all third basemen in hits, RBI and was second in home runs only behind Joey Gallo.
He was also third in batting average at the position known as the “Hot Corner.” Due to his overall balance at the plate, it’s easy to rank Arenado among MLB The Show 19’s elite players.
In the middle of all of that deadly skill with the bat, he’s also one of baseball best defensive infielders and regularly receives a 90+ fielding rating in The Show. If his batting and fielding attributes are in the mid to upper 90’s, then expect a 98 or 99 overall rating from Arenado in MLB The Show 19.
Honorable Mentions:
Joey Gallo – At just 25-years-old, Gallo is one of the sport’s most dangerous power hitters. As mentioned, his 40 home runs led all third basemen and were good for third in all of baseball.
Alex Bergeron -Bergeron is without a doubt one of the fastest third basemen in baseball. He was fourth among third basemen in stolen bases and included a chunky 31 home runs and 103 RBI his stat line as well.
