15. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Developer: Respawn Entertainment

Release Date: Holiday 2019

While we know next to nothing about EA’s and Respawn’s Star Wars project, the inner Star Wars nerd inside of me can’t ignore a new game in this franchise. Still, while we’re excited to see what kind of game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order ends up being, EA’s recently handling of the Stars Wars IP has us a bit concerned. The last two Star Wars: Battlefront games fell flat and gave a master class in how to anger gamers. Then EA Vancouver’s open-world Star Wars game got canceled.

The way we see it, Fallen Order might be EA’s last-ditch effort to actually do something good with Star Wars before Disney pulls the rights to the property. That means EA may do everything in its power to make sure this game is amazing. Whether this actually happens is a toss-up at this point, but let’s stay positive.

But again, we know next to nothing about this game outside of a brief announcement and motion capture footage during a sizzle reel at E3 2018. We know that the game takes place after Revenge of the Sith when the Jedi are being hunted. Other than that, it’s just a lot of promises from Respawn, the developers of Titanfall, that this will be a mind-blowing experience for Star Wars fans. We’ll have to wait until at least this Christmas (barring a likely delay) to see what’s waiting for us in a galaxy far, far away.
