2018 was an exciting year for video games across all platforms, from amazing sequels like Red Dead Redemption 2 to new titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man. From strong platform exclusives like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and God of War to an ever-growing list of cross-platform indie games like Into the Breach and Celeste, gamers were given a plethora of amazing options this past year.

But now 2019 is upon us, and with a new year comes new games. This next year is shaping up to be a good one, with a great mix of interesting new titles like Anthem and long-anticipated sequels like Kingdom Hearts 3 set to come out. And keep in mind there are plenty of great games certain to be released in 2019 that haven’t even been announced yet.

Let’s take a look at what we think are the top 15 best big games set to release this year. Of course, delays can happen, so some of these titles may slip into 2020 or beyond. This is especially true of the games that don’t have a firm release date yet. It’s also worth mentioning that some of the games we decided to include on this list have not been confirmed for 2019 but we think have a very decent chance of coming out this year.
