Liar’s Dice is a dice-based gambling activity from the first Red Dead Redemption. But is the fan-favorite minigame in Red Dead Redemption 2?

Similar to its predecessor, Red Dead Redemption 2 is filled with all sorts of different side quests and activities to play. It wouldn’t be the Wild West without some gambling, right? Blackjack, Poker, Dominoes, and Five Finger Fillet are all available to play in Red Dead Redemption 2 at various locations throughout the world.

But what about the fan-favorite Liar’s Dice from the previous Red Dead Redemption title?

Unfortunately, Liar’s Dice does not make a return in the single-player mode of Red Dead Redemption 2. Despite the dice-based gambling activity being one of the fan favorites from the first game, it just didn’t quite make the cut in the whopping 100 GB of space the game requires. I personally find this a bit disappointing, as it was one of my favorite gambling activities and an easy way to make money in the game once you figure out how to play efficiently.

Liar’s Dice was also a prevalent activity in the first game’s multiplayer mode, letting you gamble against other real players. Red Dead Redemption 2‘s multiplayer mode is not yet live until a public beta in November, however. So finger’s crossed that Rockstar will add in the mini-game when Red Dead Online goes live.

While I find it odd that they removed this fun dice mini-game, there are still plenty of other ways to gamble away your money in Red Dead Redemption 2. Five Finger Fillet continues to be one of my favorite fast-paced mini-games, and Blackjack is a great way to make some side cash if you have the patience.
