Vestige outfits are unlocked through exploring crypts, completing side missions and finishing parts of the story. These outfits have two parts to them: an upper body and a lower body. Both portions of the outfit provide buffs in experience gained or provide a certain skill.

I found the Vest of the Empress Jaguar is by far the best upper body vestige piece. It makes it so enemies take longer to identify Lara giving her the edge in stealth combat. For lower body pieces, there is a wide range of great choices depending on what you’d like to focus on.

If you’d like to keep the stealth gameplay going then throw on the Boots of the Empress Jaguar so your noise is reduced when running. This makes you harder to detect and further strengthens your stealth. Another buff in stealth gameplay comes from the Hide Boots of Urqu. These stylish hide boots provide bonus experience for stealth kills.

Those who are planning to run and gun then you will need one of the following to help you in your chaos. Greaves of Six Sky makes Lara regenerate her health faster during breaks in combat, so if you are prone to dying often then these may be what you’re looking for. The other option is Ch’amaka’s Greaves. Similar to the Urqu boots, these greaves provide bonus experience for non-stealth kills.

Gaining more experience early will allow you to unlock essential skills needed for combat, exploration or stealth. Regardless of how you play, there is a skill and equipment just for you.
