Best Final Fantasy Games #26 – Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius

As we approach the mobile section of our Final Fantasy list, it should be noted that not all of the mobile games are absolute hot garbage piles of discarded refuse. Brave Exvius, while not as deeply entrenched in gameplay mechanics as a fully-fledged modern game for consoles, does a good job of capturing the spirit of the franchise in the palm of your hand.

It does establish its own story, following Rain and his journey in a world filled with Vision and Lapis. Following the gacha gameplay style, players would bolster their party with upgraded characters from titles past while also earning experience through completing dungeons, competing in arenas and teams built up from other players’ compositions.

What makes Brave Exvius feel a bit more familiar to classic RPG fans is its town exploration mechanics and a stellar soundtrack. Plus, its expansive content and repeatable gameplay mechanics tied in with turn-based RPG gave players depth that other mobile titles from the franchise don’t quite offer.
