What’s in the box?

There are even more Power Moons. You’ll hear from Cappy that strange, metallic boxes are now openable in each kingdom, though they may take some work to reach in some areas. You might have seen them the first time you visited the kingdoms, but not known what they were for. With the Moon taken care of, you can Ground Pound a box to reveal tons more Power Moons scattered through the kingdoms you’ve already been to. Some of them will just be sitting around for the taking. Others will require you to pull off daring platforming work or some interesting captures just to reach.

There are a whopping total of over 800 Power Moons in the game, not counting the ones you can buy in shops (which pushes the number to something like 900). Something like half of them aren’t available until you go through and bust these boxes. If you’re truly aiming for a 100% run, bust these boxes right away and get to work on those levels!
