I could go on and on about the multitude of neat easter eggs hidden in Super Mario Odyssey. Even if you’re not pushing for Power Moons, there’s still so much to see and do just for the pure pleasure of it. Captain Toad, for example, is hidden in each level and will give you a Power Moon for finding him. You can find adorable in-jokes about Poochy and Yoshi, or witty bits of dialogue here and there. Heck, take time to read the brochures on each kingdom and learn a bit more about the lore. They’re well-constructed encyclopedias that give just the right amount of information.

Whether your end goal is coins, Power Moons, or just exploring every corner of the kingdoms to unlock their secrets, you’re bound to be delighted by the minute to minute play of Super Mario Odyssey’s post-game. The time to put the game down is whenever you feel you’re done, though there is one, small reward for those who go the distance and pick up every single Power Moon…
