How to get Marshadow in Pokemon Sun and Moon
Finish that Alola Pokedex in October with Marshadow, the final legendary distribution for Pokemon Sun and Moon, coming to GameStop.
The gradual trend toward the end of Pokemon Sun and Moon as the “current” Pokemon games continues in October, with the release of the final special distribution legendary Pokemon, Marshadow. Once it is distributed, every Pokemon will be available for trainers in Pokemon Sun and Moon through some means or another, and it’s incredibly convenient that the event will end just a few weeks before the launch of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
You can get Marshadow at your local GameStop by dropping by anytime between October 9th through 23rd. There, you can obtain a card with a code to put into your game on the Mystery Gift menu that will unlock Marshadow. It comes at level 50 with the Technician ability, knowing the movies Spectral Thief, Close Combat, Force Palm, and Shadow Ball. It’s a Ghost/Fighting-type Pokemon and will be holding a Marshadium Z.
With Marshadium Z, Marshadow can use the ridiculously-named Z move, Soul-Stealing 7-Star Strike. Yeah, that’s definitely an anime move if I’ve ever seen one. Is Marshadow Naruto in disguise?
Here are the steps to obtaining Marshadow once you have a code:
- Go to Mystery Gift on the game’s menu.
- Choose Receive Gift.
- Choose Get with Code/Password and continue through the prompts to connect to the Internet.
- When prompted, enter the code on the card.
- Enter the game and visit a Pokemon Center. Talk to the delivery person with an empty slot in your party to receive Marshadow.
Next: It’s time to say goodbye to Pokemon Sun and Moon
Don’t worry if you, like me, are preparing to drop everything and transfer all your Pokemon to Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon in November. Presumably, this last legendary can hop on into Pokemon Box and make the migration just like everything else when the new titles release on November 17th.
