#8. Assassin’s Creed Origins

This is more of a curiosity factor than anything else. To say I’m excited about a new Assassin’s Creed game would be a stretch. But all the rumors and leaks have got me extremely interested to see if any or all of them are true. Does it take place in Egypt? Is there still somehow naval combat? Has the fighting been overhauled? Is this merely a continuation of the series or the start of a brand new trilogy and a try for a fresh start with the series? Will they continue with the incredibly boring modern day sections or just finally throw that all away?

I think even most fans would agree Assassin’s Creed is in desperate need of a refresh, as the last few outings have not fared so well. Will a more drastic change of scenery and some overhauled gameplay give the series the shot in the arm it needs? Will it bring new people on board? I personally would love to see a trailer for a new Assassin’s Creed game at this year’s E3 and say, “Yes, this is clicking with me like no other game in the series really has.” Whatever Ubisoft has to show, hopefully, it’s not something that just feels the exact same as before.
