#5. Panzer Dragoon

Panzer Dragoon is considered one the best shooter series of all time. Panzer Dragoon Saga is considered one of the most unique and creative RPGs of all time. Yet this beloved franchise has been dead in the water since 2003. And simply put, I truly believe that despite being such a great series, it’s because it could never sell being put on unpopular consoles. The Saturn was home for the majority of the franchise, and then the last entry was released on the original Xbox.

I truly believe the Panzer Dragoon franchise deserves a real chance at success. And I feel now that you could put it on any modern console and it would have a decent chance at succeeding. The key would be sticking to what the franchise is known for, which is amazing graphical style and intense yet fun and fair shooting action, which also remained true of the highly acclaimed RPG entry, Saga. Be it as a shooter, an RPG or a hybrid, if Sega is seriously considering any of their major IPs, Panzer Dragoon should be right near the top of the list.
