8. Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remastered

A remastered port of a Sony exclusive title that was also released on PC at the time of remastering. Yes, Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remastered should be on this service.

While the competition will be showcasing their third party partnerships to put games on the service, there are still some games Sony has exclusive rights to from the past. Leveraging old relationships like PlayStation’s relationship with Square can definitely help it differentiate itself.

Not to mention, Final Fantasy X/X-2 still looks fantastic in cutscenes. It was one of the first times a game went from cutscene to gameplay so quickly. Obviously, we have come a long way since that with games like Uncharted 4 and Horizon Zero Dawn having essentially only one loading screen throughout the game.

Still, Final Fantasy X/X-2 was a huge leap over what was happening on PlayStation One consoles.  The cutscenes are still amazing to look at even today. On top of that, everyone needs to listen to the classic intro piano notes of To Zanarkand. Great games to add to what will hopefully be a great service for subscribers.

You could really include Final Fantasy VII that was ported to PS4 as well. Sony could also finally put PlayStation One and PlayStation 2 classics on the service. But I digress!
