Two players, one controller

Exactly what I just said. Two players, one controller, Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels. GameJ06 (better known as Big John) and AndrewG absolutely decimate The Lost Levels with Big John on the buttons and AndrewG on the directional pad. AndrewG wasn’t even supposed to be playing, acting as a last minute stand-in for someone who couldn’t make it.

So we’ve got a speedrun of a platformer, already a challenge. Two people using the same controller who haven’t practiced together all that much, even more difficult. And to top it off, Big John commentates the entire way through. And he’s so great! He’s one of the best, if not the best commentator at AGDQ. He’s hilarious, informative, suave, and entertaining throughout. He even sings for everyone.

If you only watch one run from this list, I recommend this one. How two guys manage to multitask so well while barely knowing one another, including some frame-perfect tricks is just mind-blowing.
