#2. Power Stone

Power Stone actually pretty much sounds like something right in Nintendo’s wheelhouse. It features fun and colorful characters in extravagant settings with co-op and competitive modes that are simple to understand, but if you take the time and master them, you’ll be a cut above the rest.

Power Stone might actually be considered a bit of a Super Smash Bros. imitator since both feature 4-player over-the-top brawling, but the first games in both these series were out within a month of each other way back in 1999 and Power Stone, while similar in basic concept, definitely has a unique style all its own.

I was a huge fan of Power Stone back in the Dreamcast days. Considering how awesome the first two entries were, it would be sad if the last entry the game got was a half-hearted collection on the PSP. Reportedly, there is already a fighting stick being made for the Switch by Hori. It would sure be a shame if the only game that it was used for was Smash Bros.

Bring Power Stone back, maybe with some RPG and gear elements to customize fighters much like the upcoming Injustice 2 (which I also hope is coming to Switch, but that’s hardly a dead franchise), and it would be a fantastic multi-player party game for the console.
