#9. Jade Empire

As I mentioned earlier, Mass Effect: Andromeda isn’t coming to the Nintendo Switch. BioWare has said they haven’t completely ruled it out, but that means it won’t be on the console anywhere around the time it launches on other platforms. And if we aren’t getting it until a year or more down the line, why even bother?

But I love BioWare and their games, and having something by BioWare I could play at home and on the go seems like a really good idea. Therefore, I think it seems like a prime opportunity to bring back their forgotten franchise Jade Empire. It’s a super-cool mix of some basic fighting game action and has the BioWare choices and strong story structure in a more mystical setting. A sequel could bring forth some more nuanced moral choices, as the first game was more along the lines of good vs. evil choices as opposed to something more along the lines a paragon/renegade option.

We don’t actually see any games taking place in Imperial China these days so even just the setting would be a nice change of pace. And I think Nintendo having a specific BioWare game on the Switch that no other platform has would be a great advantage.
