Stardew Valley Marriage Candidates, Ranked
2 – Sebastian
Though I’m normally not a fan of the broody, silent type, I ended up unwittingly falling for Sebastian on my first playthrough. Many of the other candidates become warm and fuzzy the more you get to know them; Sebastian is independent. He keeps his friends from before your marriage and maintains his job as a programmer. He likes to spend time with you, but he likes his alone time, too. His post-marriage dialogue is unique in its frankness about your relationship; both with the goods and the bads. Which makes it all the more heart-warming when he reminds you how important you are to him, and wakes you up with a hot cup of coffee ready.
Sebby’s story doesn’t have quite the same highs and lows as some of the other candidates, but that’s okay. His cutscenes revolve almost exclusively around the two of you getting to know and understand one another, making a marriage with Sebastian much more fulfilling–it just makes sense. His “date” heart event is up there with Harvey and Maru as the most romantic, too, taking place on a quiet, starry hilltop overlooking distant Zuzu City.
