7 Craziest Cards In Hearthstone Whispers Of The Old Gods
Shifter Zerus
Did Blizzard just flip the RNG switch for this expansion? So many cards (and we’re not even done) involve totally random stuff happening that will, more often than not, end unfavorably for the person playing the card. For Shifter Zerus, fortunately, there is some measure of control involved, as you can let him shift forms for as long as you want before finally playing him. You run the risk of never getting anything good and wasting a deck slot, but the longer your match goes, the better your chance of getting something interesting.
The downside of Shifter Zerus is that unlike Unstable Portal, you still have to pay the full mana cost of whatever Zerus is at the time. But the trade-off is his continuous shifts, allowing you to wait patiently until you get the minion you want, which could even include other classes’ class cards. Though less viable in decks that require very specific types of minions, Shifter Zerus sounds like a wonderful opportunity to throw caution to the wind and let the RNG decide what you’re playing on a given turn.
