Synopsis: Five years after Batman defeated Superman in the previous game, Brianiac and his legion of evil followers (led by Gorilla Grodd) threatens to take over the world with his group known as the Society. With many of the heroes scattered across the world, Batman brings Black Canary, Green Arrow and Harley Quinn as his first squad. The rest of the story gets only wackier from there.

Why it’s one of the 50 best Xbox One games: This is a fighting game that pleases both casual and hardcore fighting game players. DC fans will enjoy the plethora of deep dive characters, such as Swamp Thing and Blue Beetle, while hardcore players will appreciate the refined gameplay mechanics such as Clashes and supers.

The gear system included is fair for everyone, too, giving players a ton of customizable options to choose from. This brings variety to combat and infuses RPG elements into what is already a dynamic fighting game experience.

With a solid netcode, tons of gameplay modes, a deep roster of initial characters and a solid base game, Injustice 2 is one of the best fighting games out there.
