NBA 2K24: Five stars who would make the perfect cover athlete

Honorable Mention: Nikola Jokic

I didn’t want to make this list without including Nikola Jokic on it. Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets do not get a ton of credit. Jokic was a back-to-back NBA MVP in 2020-2021 and 2021-2022. As far as I can remember, a Denver Nuggets player has never been the main cover athlete on a NBA 2K video game. With how great of a franchise the Nuggets have been since Jokic has been on the team, it is time to get a mile-high athlete on the cover.

All of the athletes on this list are very deserving of representing the NBA as the cover athlete of NBA 2K24. If I had to choose what route I think 2K would take this year, it would probably be with Lebron James. As the new NBA leading point scorer, that historic night in February will go down in the history books forever. The record that was set may not be broken for many more decades and maybe not ever. 2K knows very well what a special moment that was and it definitely has to be a thought in their minds.

It will be interesting to see who 2K ultimately chooses to be on the cover of NBA 2K24. Cover athlete reveals are always fun and exciting. Plus, you never know if there are any curveballs that 2K may throw our way. They aren’t afraid to mix things up a little bit.
