Conclusion

This game had a near-impossible task in front of it.

Any platformer released right now is releasing into the golden age of platformers and has to do something amazing to enter the conversation with platformers like Celeste, Ori, Limbo, Shovel Knight, Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair, and even Sonic Mania. Plus, anyone can have the ability to make platforming levels to their liking and desire now with Nintendo’s brilliant Super Mario Maker and Super Mario Maker 2. If you do not do something that wows the entire gaming industry with your game, you are doomed to fall into irrelevancy.

Super Meat Boy was the beginning of this golden age, and will forever be remembered for what it did for the gaming industry as a whole. Its legacy is huge, and any game with the Meat Boy name will forever be held to that legacy and standard.

Unfortunately, Super Meat Boy Forever falls short.

6. Super Meat Boy Forever would be a great iOS or mobile game; but, unfortunately, that is not what Team Meat delivered. It feels cheap in its gameplay and bits of its presentation. Although it was nice to see Edmund Mcmillen have fun with his animations.. Team Meat. . Super Meat Boy Forever
