#2. The Lucky Dime Caper starring Donald Duck (Sega Master System, Game Gear)

The Sega Master system may be fondly remembered by a few die-hard fans here and there but there’s a reason the Genesis is what propelled Sega into being one of the top dogs in the industry for a time. There just weren’t a ton of really memorable games made for the Master System. The handful that were memorable, however, were really great and one of those starred Disney’s most temperamental fowl, Donald Duck.

Anyone who’s a Disney fan can probably guess what the plot is behind The Lucky Dime Caper starring Donald Duck. Magica De Spell has stolen Uncle Scrooge’s lucky dime (a common plotline in the Ducktales cartoon show) and the young nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Scrooge’s nephew Donald has to get it back. Cue the platforming adventure!

The Lucky Dime Caper starring Donald Duck pretty much apes the gameplay of the Illusion series that starred Mickey Mouse (Land, Castle, World, Legend) but with Donald Duck. Donald Duck doesn’t get to star in nearly enough games and this is arguably his best one. Put this in a combo pack with Quackshot and it’s a hell of a deal.
