NBA 2K20 predictions: 10 best (or most fun) rookies to play as
Jarrett Culver – Minnesota Timberwolves
Who said playing defense can’t be fun? This is the biggest strength for former Texas Tech shooting guard, Jarrett Culver.
His lockdown defense will help set up some great offensive opportunities on the other side of the floor. And for a guard, he’s a solid rebounder as well, and rebounding is arguably the second best way to fill up your stat sheet behind scoring points.
His rich defensive skills combined with his ability to grab boards (a wise man in Toronto once said: “board man gets paid” after all) will be a treat for gamers. To coincide with his clamping ability, the man can give you some points as well.
He hasn’t developed his three-point shot quite yet, but his close and mid-range game can be mean. Sprinkle in some nice floaters, and other crafty little moves and you have a solid scorer to go along with the defense.
If you tend to use him a lot during a game, then there’s potential for a triple-double to be printed on his stat sheet at the end of the game. Not necessarily a 30/14/15 kind of game, but a 15/11/10 type of game. A triple-double is a triple-double.
He’s one of the better all-around players to come out of the draft and because of this, he will be a quality rookie to use. Not to mention; since he got drafted sixth overall, he’s likely to enjoy a solid 76 or 77 overall rating to start.
If you’re a T-Wolves fan, you have to feel good about using this dude in NBA 2K20. The balance will make things very interesting.
