Ahead of the release of the Clash of Clans Town Hall 12 update, Supercell is giving us a sneak peek at all of the changes headed our way.
Supercell is readying to release a new update for Clash of Clans and as is tradition, the developer is treating fans to numerous sneak peek previews ahead of its arrival. As teased so far, the Town Hall 12 update will include a new town hall level (obviously), additional building levels, and a slew of balance tweaks. Supercell has also teased a brand new building, the Siege Workshop, but it seems we’ll have to wait a bit longer for that to be detailed.
With Town Hall 12, you will see additional levels for defenses. Just about all of your storage and defensive buildings will be gaining a new level, along with the ability to place one additional trap of each type. With these new levels, you can expect an increase in damage output. The Clan Castle and Army Camp will also be gaining a level, tacking on a plus-five housing increase. Supercell provided a glimpse of what these new buildings will look like once leveled up.
Additionally, your Town Hall itself will become a weapon once upgraded. At Town Hall 12, it becomes weaponized with the Giga Tesla. As explained by Supercell:
"The Giga Tesla can be upgraded up to level 5 and will be able to acquire more targets with each level (max. 4 simultaneous targets). Upon reaching level 5, the Giga Tesla will drop an explosive after the Town Hall is destroyed!"
And lastly, there’s the Siege Workshop which will be detailed in a future sneak peak. However, Supercell does say this new building will introduce a “new meta-changing feature” to Clash of Clans, so it certainly sounds intriguing if not a bit worrisome.
Supercell also detailed all of the balance changes coming to Clash of Clans with the Town Hall 12 update. There’s a ton of them, so community manager Darian Vorlick was kind enough to put together a video highlighting all of the big changes headed our way with the new update.
From the economy to defensive buildings to troops, there are a ton of balance changes to take into account. Undoubtedly, the price reduction in Wall Ring price is most-welcomed by fans, as is the discounted cost of walls. If you don’t feel like sitting through all 14 minutes of the video, you can simply read the abbreviated balance change-log over on Supercell’s forums.
We don’t know when exactly the Town Hall 12 update will go live, but Supercell typically likes to lead up to it with a few days of sneak peeks. We’ve already had two sneak peeks and we know we’re getting one about the Siege Workshop, presumably tomorrow. If that’s the case, then we can probably look forward to Town Hall 12 arriving in Clash of Clans no earlier than Wednesday.
