Madden 24 is out in early access, which means we can finally see the overall ratings for all 32 NFL teams. EA had previously revelaed the 10 best teams (including offense and defense) but now we see how the rest of the league looks.

32. Arizona Cardinals (71 OVR)
The Arizona Cardinals are, without a doubt, the worst team in the NFL. Even with a healthy Kyler Murray under center, there’s not much to look forward to with this team. They’ve got some young, talented wide receivers in Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore, but their defense has some major holes left by the departure of DE Zach Allen, CB Byron Murphy Jr. and edge rusher Markus Golden.

31. Los Angeles Rams (73 OVR)
Now two years out from their Super Bowl LVI victory, the Rams feel like they are in a complete rebuild mode. Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp will keep them in games, but there’s not much else on offense and the defense feels like it’s just Aaron Donald. The drop off from Kupp — the second-best player on the team — to the next best player is 14 overall points. Not good.

30. Tennessee Titans (74 OVR)
The Titans had a wild offseason that was capped by the signing of DeAndre Hopkins. But even having one of the top-rated receivers in the game didn’t do much to the Titans’ team rating. It’s weird because it feels like a rebuild when looking at their roster, but they still held on to some of their aging veterans.

29. Chicago Bears (76 OVR)
The Chicago Bears are improving but aren’t quite there yet. One of the biggest question marks heading into this season is whether or not Justin Fields can make the necessary improvements as a passer. He’s got a better offensive line protecting him now as well as a new weapon in D.J. Moore.

28. Indianapolis Colts (77 OVR)
With rookie Anthony Richardson starting at quarterback and Jonathan Taylor at running back (maybe?), the Colts should be a fun team to play as in Madden 24. They won’t be very good, but they’ll still be fun.

27. Green Bay Packers (79 OVR)
When losing a player like Aaron Rodgers, it’s clear your team rating is going to take a hit — especially when his replacement (Jordan Love) is the worst-rated player among all 32 starting quarterbacks. But he’s surrounded by a strong offensive line and stome talented young weapons.

26. Las Vegas Raiders (79 OVR)
The Las Vegas Raiders have one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Between Davante Adams and Josh Jacobs, their offense should be fun, but it’s limited by Jimmy Garoppolo (77 OVR) at quarterback.

25. Houston Texans (78 OVR)
The Houston Texans took their first major step in their rebuild by drafting their quarterback of the future in C.J. Stroud. But with just a 73 overall rating and no offensive weapons, it’s hard to imagine the Texans will be a competitive team this year. Stroud should be fun to play as, but you’ll likely be running for your life with him.

24. Denver Broncos (80 OVR)
After a disastrous season last year, the Broncos turn to Sean Payton to right the ship. It all hinges on the arm of Russell Wilson and his 77 overall rating.

- Justin Simmons (FS) – 92 OVR
- Jerry Jeudy (WR) – 84 OVR
23. Carolina Panthers (80 OVR)
The Carolina Panthers aren’t rated terribly high in Madden 24, but they’ve got some talented players, including rookie quarterback Bryce Young.

- Miles Sanders (HB) – 86 OVR
- Derrick Brown (RE) – 84 OVR
22. Washington Commanders (80 OVR)
Despite being one of the worst-rated teams, the Washington Commanders are actually sneaky good. They’ve got a top 12 defensive unit led by the like sof Jonathan Allen, Kendall Fuller, Chase Young and Da’ron Payne. They’ve got some talented offensive playmakers as well. The biggest question mark with this team is the quarterback play.

21. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (81 OVR)
Tampa Bay has a decent defense but they’ve got a lot of holes on offense. The biggest is clearly quarterback where they’ll lean on Kyle Trask or Baker Mayfield to fill the void left by Tom Brady.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers (81 OVR)
Defensively, the Pittsburgh Steelers are top-notch. But their when your best offensive playrs is rated 85 overall, and is tight end Pat Freiermuth, you’re in trouble.

19. Atlanta Falcons (81 OVR)
Between Bijan Robinson, Drake London and Kyle Pitts, the Falcons have some fun, young weapons on offense. They’ve got a solid offensive line and much-improved defense. But they’ve also got one of the lowest-rated quarterbacks in the game in Desmond Riddler (70 OVR)

- A.J. Terrell Jr. (CB) – 87 OVR
18. New England Patriots (82 OVR)
The Patriots have a talented defense but there are all sorts of question marks on the offensive side of the ball and it starts with quarterback Mac Jones. He plays behind a solid offensive line with Mike Onwenu and David Andrews, but he’s only got a 74 overall rating and not much in terms of a supporting cast.

17. New Orleans Saints (82 OVR)
Alvin Kamara, Jamaal Williams, Chris Olave and Michael Thomas — the Saints have quite a few playmakers for newly acquired quarterback Derek Carr to deliver the ball to. An upgraded defense led by Tyrann Matheiu and Demario Davis results in the Saints having an average overall team rating.

16. New York Giants (82 OVR)
The New York Giants are a middle-of-the-pack team in Madden 24. They’ve got some talent in guys like Dexter Lawrence II, Saquon Barkley, and Darren Waller, but they need to upgrade their receiving corps. and defense.

15. Seattle Seahawks (83 OVR)
The Seattle Seahawks should be one of the more competitive teams to watch this season, but they aren’t quite at the level of some of the more elite teams. With an explosive offense and a much improved defense, they can hang with many of the teams at the top half of the league.

14. Detroit Lions (83 OVR)
The Detroit Lions surprised a lot of people last season and are sneakily good. They don’t have a player rated in the 90s but they’ve still got a lot of young talent.

13. Jacksonville Jaguars (84 OVR)
The Jacksonville Jaguars don’t have a single player rated higher than 85 overall in Madden 24. But what’s not to like about an offense with Calvin Ridley, Christian Kirk< Travis Etienne, Tank Bisby and Trevor Lawrence?

12. New York Jets (84 OVR)
The Jets have Super Bowl aspirations since upgrading the quarterback position from Zach Wilson to Aaron Rodgers. While Rodgers isn’t rated terribly high in Madden 24, he’s still a huge improvement. One thing to keep in mind is the launch ratings for Madden 24 don’t include the recent signing of HB Dalvin Cook.

11. Minnesota Vikings (85 OVR)
The Minnesota Vikings will have one of the most explosive passing offenses in the game thanks to Justin Jefferson, T.J. Hockenson and Jordan Addison, but they’ve got a sub-par defense.

- Harrison Smith (SS) – 90 OVR
- T.J. Hockenson (TE) – 90 OVR
10. Los Angeles Chargers (85 OVR)
The Chargers have one of the best young quarterbacks in the game and a well-rounded team. In real life, their biggest question mark is coaching but thankfully you take over that responsibility in Madden.

- Joey Bosa (LOLB) – 91 OVR
- Austin Ekeler (HB) – 89 OVR
9. Miami Dolphins (86 OVR)
Between Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, De’Von Achane, Raheem Mostert and Robbie Chosen, the Dolphins are probably the fastest team in Madden 24. They’ve got top-ten offensive and the fourth-best defense in the game.

8. San Francisco 49ers (86 OVR)
I’m convinced that the only reason the 49ers are rated so low in Madden 24 is because of their quarterbacks. Brock Purdy is the best-rated QB on the roster with a 73 overall. This is a team with six players rated 90-plus. This is also the best-rated defense in the game.

7. Baltimore Ravens (87 OVR)
Lamar Jackson finally has some weapons. Odell Bekham Jr. (85 OVR) and Zay Flowers (77 OVR) should create some fun playmaking opportunties and finally allow Jackson the opportunity to flex his arm.

- Marlon Humphrey (CB) – 93 OVR

6. Cleveland Browns (87 OVR)
I questioned the Cleveland Browns being rated better than the 49ers, but they are definitely a balanced team with one of the best edge rushers in the game in Myles Garrett, not to mention the best-rated running back in Madden 24 in Nick Chubb.

5. Dallas Cowboys (88 OVR)
The Dallas Cowboys made all the right moves this offseason to position themselves as a Super Bowl contender and it’s reflected in the team’s overall rating. The Cowboys have five players rated 90-plus, including two who are close to the 99 Club in Zack Martin and Micah Parsons.

- Stephon Gilmore (CB) – 91 OVR
4. Cincinatti Bengals (89 OVR)
The Bengals are tied with the Chiefs for the best overall offensive rating in the game, but there’s not much depth and their defense is questionable.

- Ja’Marr Chase (WR) – 94 OVR
- D.J. Reader (DT) – 87 OVR
3. Buffalo Bills (90 OVR)
With the fourth-best offense and the second-best defensive ratings in Madden 24, the Buffalo Bills are the third-best overall team in the game behind the two teams who made it to the Super Bowl last season.

- Stefon Diggs (WR) – 96 OVR
- Josh Allen (QB) – 94 OVR
- Von Miller (RE) – 94 OVR
Philadelphia Eagles (91 OVR)
The Philadelphia Eagles came up just short in LVII but return in Madden 24 with the third-best-rated offense in the game and a top-10 defense. They’ve got a tremendous offensive line and talented skill players on both sides of the ball.

- Darius Slay Jr. (CB) 92 OVR
- Jason Kelce (CE) – 92 OVR
Kansas City Chiefs (92 OVR)
Last year’s Super Bowl winner, the Kansas City Chiefs, are the best-rated team in Madden 24. They are led by two 99 Club members in Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, but the receiver position has some question marks.

Remember, these are the overall ratings at launch and do not include many of the latest transactions, such as the Jets signing running back Dalvin Cook. The Week 1 roster update, which is reflective of the finalized 53-man rosters, should provide a more accurate ratings list, although I can’t image too much will change.
Madden 24 is now in early access with the global launch set for August 18. It’s playable on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
